Ethics Domain Training
The Behavioral Health Administration, the University of Maryland Training Center, and Talbot County Health Department is pleased to bring Ethics Domain Training to you.
What is Ethics Domain Training?
The CPRS is being asked to perform many roles, and services in very diverse settings. As a result, complex ethical and legal issues can arise with the CPRS performance of these new roles. This training will give the peer tools to assess the responsibilities and limits of their role and provide an overview of the standards, principles, laws and regulations which are the foundation of ethical practice.
Objectives of the Training
- Cite the guiding principles of recovery as a foundation of ethical practice
- Review the roles and scope of work of the CPRS, including a variety of work settings within an organization
- Review the impact on CPRS practice of specific law and credentialing practice
- Cite the ethical considerations and challenges of Dual Relationships, cultural competency, privacy, and confidentiality
- Use the model of peer-based ethical decision making to determine multi-party vulnerability

Time- 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration will start at 8:30 am, training will promptly start at 9:00am

. This training is approved by MABPCB, Maryland Addictions and Behavioral-health Professionals Certification Board, which is the peer credentialing board in Maryland. This training will provide 7 CEUs in the Ethics domain.
